On the outside you've got a glove/hat stash on one of the shoulder straps; you have multiple ski or board carrying options; and you've got back-panel access for on-the-go gear grabbing. The tough and durable fabric is water repellent and is reinforced in high-abrasion zones. And the whole thing has a slim profile for better freedom of movement, particularly when skinning up.
